Pregnant Heather Rae Young is in ‘unbearable’ pain as she lies in bed

Pregnant Heather Rae Young, who is in her third trimester, has been put to bed.

The “Selling Sunset” star, 35, gave her Instagram followers a health update Thursday after she left a routine check-up, explaining that her sciatica pain had become “unbearable.”

“Baby update: I just left the doctor,” she begins a selfie-style video from her car, explaining almost immediately that “everything is fine” with her and husband Tarek El Moussa’s baby.

“I’m not doing well,” she continued, noting that her pain was “worse than before.”

Young said her doctor wants her to “rest” and “lay down,” which is hard to admit for a Los Angeles real estate agent.

“But obviously the most important thing is to feel better and take care of the baby,” she admitted.

Although she is “approaching” her due date in early 2023, the mum noted that she still has “some time” to go before her son’s due date, so she has to “do what’s best” for both of them.

The Netflix personality added that she “still does [her] Physiotherapy” and will be “trying acupuncture” on Friday.

“I hope this goes away soon,” she said. “I certainly can’t feel like this for the rest of my pregnancy.”

Sciatica is pain along the sciatic nerve, which is the main nerve in the leg and also the largest nerve in the body, reports Johns Hopkins University. It extends from the back of the pelvis down the back of the thigh.

According to the Mayo Clinic, sciatica is common during pregnancy and often appears during the third trimester because as the fetus grows, it puts extra pressure on unstable joints and muscles.

The medical website notes that the position of the child can also contribute to compression of the sciatic nerve.

Young has otherwise had a seemingly healthy and smooth pregnancy, as she made sure to show off her growing baby bump at several recent events and award shows.

Last month, she celebrated her son’s highly anticipated arrival with a star-studded winter wonderland-themed baby shower party.

It will be her first child and first with El Moussa, who co-parents Taylor, 12, and son Brayden, 7, with ex-wife Christina Hack.

Young – who loves being an “extra mom” to her stepchildren – recently admitted she used to feel like she came second to Huck, 39, but not because anyone “has ever made [her] I feel that way” on purpose.

Young announced in July that she and El Moussa, 41, were expecting squeals of joy.

They started dating in 2019 and tied the knot in October 2021.
