“Due to severe weather and power outages affecting our region, the kick-off of today’s match has been postponed by one hour until 1:00 p.m. Cairo time,” the Titans said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “This decision was made in partnership with the NFL, the Office of Emergency Management, the Nashville Electric Service and the Mayor’s office with an abundance of caution to ensure that the game will not negatively impact our community in any way. We are exploring every possibility to reduce unnecessary energy around the stadium. The gates are open. Currently, the public is welcome to enter.

“At all times, game play has remained secondary to the well-being of our community and we can’t thank the OEMs and NES enough for their dedication to keeping our neighbors safe.”

Earlier Saturday morning, the mayor of Nashville, Tennessee, called for Tennessee Titans postponed Their game against the Houston Texans due to record cold temperatures caused a power outage in the city.

Then Mayor John Cooper called the Titans to postpone the game.

“I have learned that TVA’s unilateral blackout will continue,” Cooper said on Twitter. “All non-essential businesses must reduce energy use. I asked [Titans] To postpone the game at twelve o’clock in solidarity with our neighbours.
