Patrick Duffy says he’d like to see his epidemiological romance with Linda Burrell made into a movie

Dallas star Patrick Duffy and Happy Days star Linda Burrell’s sweet love story has captivated fans around the world, after the TV icons revealed they fell in love during the pandemic.

The stars have now revealed that they’d like to see their headline-making relationship brought to life in a romantic movie, and even joked that they’d be willing to play themselves.

Speaking to DailyMail.com about whether their love story could inspire a movie, the 73-year-old actor said, “Yes. It feels that way to us, like a Hallmark movie. We are very grateful for this relationship.

Better than Fiction: Dallas stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Burrell from Happy Days are keen to turn their love story into a movie.

“And because she has found this at this point in our lives, and to be able to look at the rest of your life comfortably through that reality is just amazing.”

Burrell, 67, added that the couple’s ability to find love later in life was proof that others should never give up hope.

Change is a constant in life, and we know that. She explained that energies change, and life changes, so never give up on anything if that’s your heart’s desire. “I don’t think that necessarily means that what you hope for will come true, but something will come true, if you really desire it and have the ambition.”

Duffy added, “It’s amazing how many signals you get from the universe, if you’re listening. If you’re paying attention, if you’re watching, it’s always there. When people shut down, it means they stop listening, most likely because they’ve given up hope.”

But as long as you’re listening, it’s amazing the things you pick up on. The same can be said for relationships, too. Just keep your eyes and ears open.

Duffy continued, “I think another reason people shut down is because they can’t bear to look into the future and become isolated. It’s tragic actually.
