Charles and Camilla are weary of Harry and Meghan’s endless criticism of the royal family
The King and Queen are ‘weary’ at the constant attacks from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, The Mail on Sunday reveals.
Sources at Buckingham Palace said last night there is growing frustration and exhaustion with the barrage of complaints Harry and Meghan have been making relentlessly and publicly about their treatment by the rest of the royal family.
The comment comes days before the release of the explosive documentary series the couple are making with Netflix that is sure to further inflame tensions.
A gorgeous teaser trailer for the six-part show was released last week, teasing intimate moments and seemingly threatening to reveal more details of the couple’s difficult relationship with the family they’ve been estranged from.
Insiders added that the Prince and Princess of Wales were “surprised but not surprised” by the announcement’s publication during their high-profile visit to the US, threatening to outsmart him.
The lavish trailer, which was posted online on the second day of William and Kate’s visit to Boston, is the latest in a seemingly endless assault against The Firm by the duke and duchess.

Royal sources have described how King Charles and Queen Camilla are “not worried but weary” at the torrent of criticism from the Sussex family.
Meghan has released a podcast series while Harry has written a memoir, which is expected to detail a series of grievances against his family when it is published next month.
In a rare and fascinating intervention, royal sources describe how King Charles and Queen Camilla are “not worried but exhausted” by the torrent of criticism from the Sussex family. “Tired” was confirmed by an angry palace source.
The royal family made ‘very generous and thoughtful gestures’ to include Prince Harry as much as possible at the late Queen’s funeral in September – including asking them to wear his military uniform during a major vigil – but they are now almost constantly being paid off, he claimed.
The irony of the many public interviews and television appearances the Sussexes have made have been highlighted by Palace staff as they speak of their desire for a new life away from the public eye. Meghan and Harry, who live in the celebrity district of Montecito, California, criticized royal life in an interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.
Since then, Meghan has released a podcast series while Harry has written a memoir, which is expected to detail a series of grievances against his family when it is published next month.
“It’s very stressful,” a palace source reiterated.
The comments came as the duke and duchess were accused yesterday of breaching protocol by taking a private photographer to Buckingham Palace for a photo shoot included in the Netflix trailer.
Another photo used unflatteringly in jest shows Kate looking rock-faced in Westminster Abbey during a Commonwealth service, with Meghan sitting behind her. It was taken after a disagreement over the seating plan.
It appears that Harry’s new media ventures have caused more harm and dismay to his family than they once cared to admit

Wells (pictured with David Beckham) attended a star-studded party Friday night to promote the William Earthshot Award
Despite the timing of the promo, a palace source said the Prince and Princess of Wales are “optimistic” about the impending documentary. However, it is feared that there is no way back for the brothers’ relationship.
“Normally, if a member of the royal family has a high-profile overseas trip, no one else back home would seek to disrupt the message of that trip,” the insider added.
Welles attended a star-studded gala Friday night to promote the William Earthshot Award, seemingly determined to ensure their work isn’t overshadowed by the Netflix series. The Prince of Wales had a 30-minute chat with President Joe Biden, as the pair shared ‘warm memories’ of the late Queen and discussed how Biden could support Earthshot, which awards £1 million in grants to five planet-saving projects each year.
It was only in recent days that royal aides discovered that Biden, by chance, was in Boston at the same time as the royal couple.
For the three-day visit, Kate wore tailored pantsuits and demure high-neck dresses.
“The princess is very professional,” said an insider. The wardrobe for a visit says it all. It’s all very practical. At the awards ceremony on Friday, guests were asked to wear ‘sustainable’ clothing, so Kate rented an emerald Solace London dress from fashion runway Hurr, which retails for £74 per night. She wore it with an emerald necklace from her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The King was keen to show his support for the House of Sussex. In his first address to the nation after ascending the throne, he said: “I want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives abroad.”
However, Harry’s new media ventures seem to have caused more harm and dismay to his family than they would previously care to admit.
He and Meghan will be honored by America’s liberal establishment for supposedly transcending institutional racism in the royal family at a lavish ceremony in New York on Tuesday, just two days before the highly anticipated Netflix series premieres.
And they will receive the so-called Ripple of Hope Award from Kerry Kennedy, the human rights activist and daughter of Robert Kennedy, the US attorney general who was assassinated in 1968.
Indeed, Mrs. Kennedy compared the actions of the Sussexes to her father’s fight against apartheid and praised their “moral courage”.
Relations may grow strained further when Harry’s memoir, Spear, is published on January 10, promising the duke’s first-hand account of his upbringing and his decision to forgo royal duties.
The royal family also had to deal with a row over the race last week after the late queen’s lady-in-waiting asked a black guest at Buckingham Palace: “Where are you really from?” Dame Susan Hussey volunteered to step down and was said to be “deeply sorry” about the debacle.
Prince William was about to board a plane to Boston when the news broke, but he spoke to his press secretary and agreed his office could respond — including the word “racism” in the statement.
