At Forrester Mansion, Eric is going through old Christmas decorations when he finds candy canes Ridge made when he was a kid. Ridge comes up and asks, “Did you want to see me?” It’s important, Eric says, “Sit down.” They laugh at the old handmade keepsakes and then Eric tells his son he’s worried about him. He doesn’t want him to feel lonely this holiday season.
In the office of dr. Buckingham, Katie tells the doctor she shouldn’t have postponed her appointment. She runs around saying that the doctor hasn’t said anything yet… which isn’t very good either. Carter points out that she never let the woman get a word out. Grace just watches them. Katie asks again, “What are my results?” She still talks about lost time as a transplant survivor. Grace finally lets her know that her recent results are all positive. “No signs of rejection at all… You’re fine, Katie.” Katie wipes away tears of relief.
Buckingham tells Katie that she is a walking prodigy and is glad she has such a good support system. They are called in to consult and go out. Carter comments to Katie about having a clean bill of health for the holidays. Katie was very nervous about the date and told him how much he meant he was there for her.

At the cliff house, Finn and Stevie hugging. You look around and wonder where the mistletoe is. Finn doesn’t need mistletoe to kiss his hot wife. After they do some more, Finn tells her that she did a great job with the decorations. Stevie wonders if it’s too much. Finn says the kids love him and that’s all that matters. They wonder how hard it is not to get into the holiday spirit with the kids around them. Stevie says it would be more honest if they weren’t so afraid of Sheila.
Finn tells Stevie that they are all worried about Sheila, but she is going to be caught. Stevie keeps telling herself that one day she will be back behind bars, but the police… Finn interrupts. He does not want her to worry about the holidays and vows that he will always be there to protect her and the children. they embrace.
At Eric’s house, Ridge remembers taking some time off to try and figure out why he did what he did, and maybe what’s next. Eric asks what happened when he, Taylor, and Brooke were in the room at the same time.
Eric learns that Taylor and Brooke dumped Ridge, who admits he was really proud of them. He feels uninhibited, but assures his father that he will be fine. Eric wants him to show up for Christmas. Afterwards, Charlie and Pam come over with the Fix-Its for Christmas dinner. They want Ridge to come over for Christmas and assure him that the entire office knows what happened with Taylor and Brooke – he needs his family more than ever. Eric repeats that he wants him to show up. Pam understands that he might be worried about falling for Brooke after she gave him old Ho. Eric sends Pam and Charlie to the kitchen, and Ridge asks his dad about Brock coming over for Christmas. Eric explains that Donna’s sisters will be joining them. He is quite sure that Brock would like to see him in spite of what happened.
At the cliff house, Kelly grills her mom and Finn about why Rudolph’s nose read. Finn advises her to ask her father. Finn wonders what she wants for Christmas. She already has – all of them together. Steffy Croons, “You’re so cute,” as they pick up Kelly and give her a hug.

They take to the couch to talk about the true meaning of Christmas, though the girl is reassured that she is still excited about Santa Claus. Finn tickles Kelly, who is hoping Santa will receive Hayes’ letter that she helped him make. They say she was a wonderful older sister. Kelly declares that her family is the best and this is the best birthday ever!
At Forrester, Carter urges Katie to miss her propaganda meeting and bask in her good news. She exhales and grimaces. Carter leads her to the couch and encourages her to relax. “close your eyes.” Once she does, tell her to take a deep breath, hold it in, and then slowly release it. She does and laughs. Carter assures her that she does not have to go through this alone. Whether she’s having a good or not so good time, he wants to be there for her. She’s been going it alone for a while now, and that’s not the case anymore.
Carter says he doesn’t have a plane or a yacht, but Katie assures him that those things don’t mean anything to her. You have been given a new lease on life and will use the heart of Storm to live life to the fullest. “I will love completely and completely.” Carter pulls her into his arms and kisses her forehead.

At Forester’s mansion, Ridge tells Eric that he’s been wrong over and over again. He baffles about not being able to choose between Brooke and Taylor. “Why do they put up with it?” Eric says they loved him and still do. Ridge loves both of them, too. He has to find a way to change things and be a better man. Eric assures him that regardless, he’s still his old man. They express their love and hug.
At the cliff house, Kelly has gone to make Christmas cards and Stevie and Finn have tinkered with cutting eggs. Stevie tells him Kelly is right, it’s the greatest birthday ever because they are together. They appeared to the Miracle of Monaco when they were reunited. “It really was the best gift imaginable.” Stevie tells Finn that she loves him very much and wishes him a happy birthday. He strokes her cheek, then kisses her before pulling her to his chest in an embrace.
