Katherine Ryan gives birth to her daughter, Vena Grace, after a ‘long’ home birth
Katherine Ryan gave birth to her third child.
The comedian, 39, welcomed a baby girl named Fenna Grace in the wee hours of Friday morning, with husband Bobby Kootstra announcing the news on Instagram.
Along with an adorable snap of their newborn daughter, Poppy also shared a photo of Katherine during her “long” labor where he praised her “strength” – before posting a photo of her postpartum placenta.

He shared on Instagram: “Fenna Grace Kootstra Dec 16 at 12:05 am.
Incredible mom! She proves her strength time and time again through a relatively long home birth. We are very lucky :)’.
Katherine also shared an adorable son of their son Fred, 18 months, meeting his new sister timestamp 12.05.
She later moved on to her story to tell us there was a “glitch” during the birth that kept things running late and a “little touch and go” but now she’s fine.

The TV star is also mom to daughter Violet, 12, from a previous relationship.
Katherine revealed that she was pregnant with her third child in July.
The TV personality admitted she knew she was expecting after trying for the first time while she was still breastfeeding her son, Fred, whom she welcomed just 13 months ago.

Katherine shared the news of her pregnancy on her podcast, but has remained mum about how far she’s come.
She said, “I’m pregnant, I got pregnant a while ago and here’s how I did it. I got pregnant while breastfeeding the first time I tried and to be honest with you I don’t think it would work because I’m 39 – I would have been 38 when I became pregnant.
“And I thought, ‘We gotta get the kids out of the way. ‘ You never know how long it’s going to be, and I love my kids. I thought, ‘Okay, let’s go for it.'”

Speaking on her show, she said, “You should never tell people when you are due. If you never tell them, they will never be able to harass you at that time.
She added, “You guys know I’m pregnant, I’ve been pregnant for a while and here’s how I did it.”

“We have to get the kids out of the way,” I thought. You never know how long you’ll have and I love my kids. I just thought, ‘Okay, let’s go for it. ”
Explaining that she was still breastfeeding Fred at the time, Katherine admitted that she “knew she wasn’t ovulating” because she “wasn’t noticeably dry.”
“So one day I’m walking around and I feel, you know, wet. And I felt sexier than usual.”
She said, “I thought, ‘Okay, let’s wait and see, let’s keep track of all the stuff.'” “

Katherine added that she “forgot to try” while on tour after suffering two pregnancy losses, but began experiencing “a sharp pain” that lasted for two to three minutes, which she experienced while pregnant with her son, Fred.
She continued, “I thought I might be getting my period.” And I wasn’t expecting to get a period this month as often as I could because these things should level out after your first period when you’re breastfeeding.
“Soon, days later, the pregnancy test came back positive.”
Katherine had a civil partnership with childhood sweetheart Bobby in December 2019, in a low-key ceremony in Denmark after the pair rekindled their romance.
