William attends his ex-girlfriend Rose Farquhar’s wedding for an evening of fun with friends

Prince William attended his ex-girlfriend’s wedding today before enjoying an evening of fun with friends – just days after his brother’s Netflix series launched an unprecedented attack on the royal family.

The Prince of Wales, 40, looked dapper in a black tuxedo and matching tie as he witnessed the nuptials of Rose Farquhar, 38, in Gloucestershire.

The pair previously dated back in 2000, after meeting at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire after Wales finished their levels at Eton.

Rose is generally considered the Prince’s first serious girlfriend, as he went on to date several women at university before he met his now-wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, in 2003.

Despite their romance faltering, Rose and William have always remained on good terms and have often seen each other at community weddings over the years due to their mutual friends.

After dating William, Rose headed to New York where she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

She is a singer and songwriter who appeared on The Voice in the UK in 2016.

He previously told the Daily Mail of her daughter’s groom: ‘He couldn’t be a more charming son-in-law in the future.

The Gemmells have been friends of ours for years. We are very happy.

Georg Gemmell is currently studying to become a veterinarian and is a stepson Barbadian construction tycoon Sir Charles Williams, who passed away last year.

Prince William’s outing follows Part 2 of the Harry and Meghan documentary on Netflix on Thursday, which accused the royal of “lying” and “shouting” at his brother.

She also accused Buckingham Palace aides of using Meghan as a “scapegoat” to divert the media away from damaging stories about other royals.

The company has so far decided not to comment on any of the claims made in the six-part series.

The senior royals have shown a united front in the days since, getting together just hours after the latest release of Kate’s Together At Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey.

The main allegations made in the last three episodes of Harry and Meghan on Netflix

Here are the highlights and finds from Harry & Meghan:

Episode four

– Meghan said it was “really important” that the monarch walked her down the aisle at her wedding to Harry.

— The Duchess recalled contemplating suicide, saying: “It was like, ‘This would all stop if I wasn’t here.’”

– Harry said it was “sad” to see his brother’s communications office “copy” their father’s behavior by “sharing” stories with the press.

Fifth episode

Megan broke down in tears as she described receiving death threats online.

– Harry said it was his decision to step back from acting as royalty, not as his wife.

– Harry has claimed that the timing of the meeting with senior royals at Sandringham about the couple’s future was deliberately arranged so that Meghan could not attend. Harry said his brother started “yelling and yelling” at him during their meeting about going abroad.

– Harry said he wrote to his father in January 2020 to say he and his wife would be willing to give up their titles if the couple’s plan to move to Canada because working royals did not work out.

– The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have claimed the institution has “banned” Harry from seeing his grandmother, the Queen, after they decided to step back as a senior member of the royal family.

Sixth episode

Home video footage has emerged showing the couple watching an interview with Oprah Winfrey before kissing.

– They claim that they saw the interview differently from the world. Tyler Perry claimed they could have said more.

– Other footage showed Harry holding his phone to show Meghan a text from William and her reaction was to say “wow” while looking at his screen.

And William will likely take the opportunity to spend an evening with childhood friends tonight – including Jay Bailey, godfather to Prince Louis.

The businessman and aristocrat is pictured among the guests tonight, also wearing a black tuxedo and tie.

The businessman has run a series of nightclubs in London over the years, including Mahiki in Kensington, Public, Whiskey Mist and Tonteria.

Described by some as a ‘party animal’, he has been close to both Harry and William since childhood, as he was the son of their mother Princess Diana’s friend, Lady Caroline Herbert.

Jay is believed to have staged Wills in 2011, and some royal commentators fear he has the potential to prove a bad influence on the brothers.

The Sussexes used their latest Netflix offering to infect Prince William and King Charles and claim that dark forces prevented the Queen from seeing them before Megxit.

Harry also said his family was upset and jealous of Meghan’s popularity, so they sought revenge on her for “doing the job better” and “stealing the spotlight” from “those who were born to do it”.

But despite a slew of incendiary claims in three hours of new interviews and footage, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have declined to comment on anything on the series.

Harry has spoken out about the ‘heartbreaking’ feud with his brother who he claims scared him in January 2020 as he ‘screamed and yelled’ in front of his father and grandmother when he tried to strike a deal to leave the UK.

The Duke of Sussex said: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet were not willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

Duke of Sussex He said William and Charles refused to bless the couple’s request for a “half in half” Megxit that would allow them to earn a fortune while picking and choosing royal duties and retain all their titles.

He alleged that his elder brother, who is now the heir to the throne, frightened him in January 2020 as he yelled and screamed at him in front of his father and grandmother when he tried to strike a deal to leave the UK.

Harry also accused Charles of telling lies to his face, and accused Her Majesty of not saying anything at the now infamous ‘Sandringham Summit’.

He said: ‘It was terrifying for my brother to yell and yell at me and my father to say things that simply weren’t right. And my grandmother, you know, sits quietly there and takes everything.

The Duke of Sussex claimed: ‘I went in with the same suggestion we had already made public, but as soon as I got there I was given five options – one all in, no change, and five all out. I chose the third option at the meeting – half inside, half outside. We have our own jobs but we also work in support of the Queen. It became clear very quickly that the goal was not up for discussion or debate.

Harry then claimed that the palace did not ask his permission to release a joint statement denying allegations that William “intimidated” the Sussexes from the royal family. Viewers said Harry was implying that William did.

He said: I did not believe it. Nobody asked me for permission to put my name on a phrase like that… [Meghan] Floods of tears, for in four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother…and yet they were never ready to tell the truth to protect us.

He also denied that it was Meghan’s decision to move away and move to Los Angeles. Actually, that was my decision. She never asked to leave. I was the one who had to see it myself. But at its best, it’s misogynistic.

The docu-series’ final three episodes will infuriate William, who has been accused of leaving his younger brother ‘terrified’ after allegedly yelling at the Queen and Charles during the recent Megxit talks at Sandringham in 2020.
