‘Yellowstone’ prequel ‘1923’ stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren joined the show before scripts were read
Prior to the release of the Paramount+ series “1923,” Helen Mirren admitted that she signed on to the project with Harrison Ford without having read the script beforehand.
In the final installment of the “Yellowstone” universe, Merrin follows her instincts and agrees to be partnered with Ford. She opened up about her decision to star in the series.
she said, according to an interview with Variety.
Mirren added that co-star Ford had similar feelings and agreed to be a part of Taylor Sheridan’s franchise without looking at the script first.

She added, “The fact that Harrison was involved was very important to me. We committed without really reading any scripts.”

The “1923” prequel is the second spin-off of the popular series, which follows the lives of the Dutton family as they run the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. This series focuses on the Dutton family surviving the early 20th century, including the Spanish flu pandemic, America’s historic drought, and the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression.

Mirren and Ford play Kara and Jacob Dutton, a married couple who run a family ranch in Montana. The couple faced many challenges during their journey but remained resilient throughout the journey.

Mirren added, “They’ve been together for 50 years. When you spend 50 years together, especially in the circumstances that Kara and Jacob live their lives in, it becomes, at its best, an absolutely equal partnership.”
“I love the fact that this is what happens after” and they lived happily ever after. What happens next? I love that Taylor has given the room and space in the story to look at a mature relationship and see how that relationship can make or break, and the challenges involved in keeping the relationship together.”
Mirren said she enjoyed Sheridan’s writing on “1923” because the men and women have equal partnerships on the series.

She noted that it was “essential”.
“Taylor writes amazing women. He has no prejudices when he writes his female characters, and there really are strong female characters in our article.”
