Penn State Nittany Lions Signing Day Tracker

National Signing Day has arrived as college football’s early signing period begins on Wednesday. It will be a crowded program for the Penn State football program, which goes into Wednesday with 23 total commitments in the 2023 recruiting class that ranks second among Big Ten teams.

As always, Lions247 Network and 247Sports will be closed on all developments Penn State fans need to know. To keep things central, we’ve got you covered here with the latest Nittany Lions signings, surprises, target news, lead meltdowns, and so much more.

Things will start early Wednesday, however, with the Penn State coach James Franklin and his staff at the team facilities before breakfast. They’ll be in contact with recruits and families within several hours, and we’ll be able to confirm the official transition from commitment to location as it happens.

Last Friday, Franklin discussed the challenge of juggling signing day plans with transfer gate efforts and preparing for the upcoming Rose Bowl game against Utah.

“Balance is kind of the key word,” said Franklin. “You’re running in a thousand different directions, making sure our guys finish strong academically, obviously making sure we’re doing everything we can to prep the bowl. God forbid you go Christmas gift shopping. All those kinds of things. Just running in.” A thousand different directions, making sure our guys are in a good place here, making sure our people travel around the country, safely, doing what they need to do, and then finalizing the recruitment.”

Franklin would sign his 10th hiring season as Penn State’s head coach, and the ramifications would be felt on the field starting in spring practices. This season, the Nittany Lions have burned 10 huge redshirts, with young talents like running back Caytron Allen And the Nick Singletonfull back Abdul Carteroffensive interference Drew Shelton Take on the main roles.
