Jennifer Gates revealed she was expecting a baby girl – while giving her followers a glimpse of her amazing baby shower, which was given by her mom, Melinda.

The 26-year-old celebrated her highly anticipated arrival with a lavish party attended by a group of her close friends and family members – a month after she announced that she and husband Nayel Nassar are expecting their first child together.

The eldest daughter of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda shared an inside look at the extravagant ceremony on Instagram Thursday — and in doing so, she revealed she’s going to have a baby girl.

“Still on cloud nine after that baby shower,” she gushed.

One of the photos showed Jennifer posing in front of her sparkling Christmas decorations while cuddling her baby bump.

Another showcased the stunning venue where the party took place – which came complete with intricate lamps, multiple chandeliers, a grand entrance, and a huge Christmas tree decked out entirely in floral and bungee decor.

The third shot featured Jennifer and her mother together in front of the tree – the two ladies smiling from ear to ear at the camera.

Jennifer chose an elegant maroon dress with a jeweled neckline and sheer sleeves for the evening, which she paired with high heels.

The mother-to-be left her long brown hair loose in stunning curls around her face.

Melinda, 58, donned a white floral dress and black heels.

The businesswoman re-shared Jennifer’s post on her Instagram Stories, adding, “My heart is so full.”

Jennifer first revealed that she was expanding their family on November 24, while sharing a photo of her and Niall together that were on full display.

“Thankful,” she captioned it, along with a green heart and emoji bottle.

At the time, proud grandmother Melinda said in a caption, “I couldn’t be more excited to meet this little one and watch you two become parents.”

Jennifer and Nile’s child will be the first granddaughter of Bill and Melinda, who will separate in 2021 after 27 years of marriage.

After the couple broke up, Melinda spoke in detail about what led to the dissolution of her marriage and said that it was not something in particular that led to their breakup, but rather a group of things that added up over time.

She revealed that she slowly realized that she “wasn’t healthy” in the relationship and that she could no longer “trust what she and Belle had”.

She told Fortune that the COVID-19 pandemic helped give her “the privacy to do what she needed to do,” adding, “It’s incredibly painful, in myriad ways, but I had the privacy to get through it.”

Despite the end of their relationship, the former couple got together to walk Jennifer down the aisle at her wedding last fall.

They put their differences aside for the magical day, as they each stood with their daughter as they nudged her to change. They were also seen exiting the ceremony together.

After their divorce, the couple reportedly split their combined net worth of $130 billion, but it hasn’t been announced how their many assets and sizable fortune will be divided.

The couple owned homes in five different states, a fleet of cars including a rare $2 million Porsche, an art collection including $30 million worth of Leonardo da Vinci writings and drawings, and a series of private jets.
