Billy Napier has come under fire on social media after Florida’s embarrassing loss in the Las Vegas Bowl

Billy Napier and the Florida Gators forgot to show up for the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday afternoon against Oregon State.

The Beavers took control of the game from the first quarter, pulling off a 30-3 victory over the Gators and close to ending Florida’s historic streak of no shutouts, dating back to 1988. The streak reached 436 games.

Naturally, the fans weren’t too happy with their team’s performance in Vegas. Many took to Twitter to question whether or not Napier is the right coach to lead Florida into the future.

Do I think Billy Napier is a good coach… No

However, it would be the second year that would decide his fate. He needs to make a huge leap in year 2…doubtful but hopefully he’ll pull it off.

The fact of the matter is, Billy Napier hasn’t shown anything to make me think he’s the guy he can get @employee Back on track. Same excuses, same deadly penalties, same lack of team improvement. This game has always been challenging but this software is an absolute embarrassment.

Florida finished the year at 6-7 overall. Yes, the Gators were without many of their key players in the bowl game, but being without plays wouldn’t sit well with many Florida fans across the country.
