The Ravens-Browns game didn’t feature much action in the first half, but Justin Tucker scored the Ravens franchise for most field goals made with 355. With just over five minutes remaining in the second quarter, Tucker converted on a 53-yard field goal to tie the game. with three triples, and achieved the record for the Crows.
Tucker is the NFL’s Most Valuable Player and holds the record for the longest field goal made in NFL history. You might remember it from last year – a 66-yard game-winning kick to the Lions.
The Vikings had the biggest comeback in NFL history
If you choose to turn off the TV at halftime of the Colts-Vikings, you’re really missing out. Minnesota embarked on a 39-3 lead in the second half, including overtime where Greg Joseph’s 40-yard field goal capped a comeback. With this win, the Vikings clinched the NFC North. Coach Kevin O’Connell also had the biggest comeback in NFL history, as the Vikings came back from losing by a score of 33-0!
Delphine’s home cooking
With 2:15 left, the Vikings had eight points. Turns out they only needed one play to get into the end zone.
Cook took it home 64 yards, then TJ Hockenson scored the two-point conversion to tie the game at 36 apiece. 36-3 run!
Matt Ryan QB offside failed
The Multans had put the ball up eight points with 2:52 remaining, draining the Vikings from all three timeouts. Facing fourth-and-1 with 2:31 remaining, Ryan attempted a yard catch of his own. The officials ruled him short, so Jeff Saturday challenged the call to the field. After further review, the call stood out on the field.
Back in the second quarter, it looked like the Vikings had a huge gain thanks to Chandon Sullivan. However, the umpires ruled the play dead as Michael Pittman was trying to fight for additional yards.
Then, in the fourth quarter, as the Vikings fought for a comeback, Jackson fumbled clear on the possession, and Sullivan caught the ball again and returned it for a six.
However, officials ruled her dead.
Sullivan was beside himself, and picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Adam Thielen snaps the Colts’ lead to eight with 5 minutes remaining!
The Vikings were down 33 points heading into the second half. Kevin O’Connell’s team cut the lead to just eight points with 5:30 left in the fourth quarter. Don’t tell Matt Ryan, but Minnesota is currently in a 28-3 race, and has a legitimate chance at coming back.
Cousins led the Vikings on a 50-yard five drive that ended in a one-yard Thielen touchdown run. All Minnesota wide receivers eat today.
Justin Jefferson pulls the Vikings down by two scores in the fourth
We may have a game on our hands. The Cousins led a six-play, 61-yard drive early in the fourth quarter that was capped by that bad touchdown run by Justin Jefferson. If Stefon Gilmore can’t keep up, nobody can.
KJ Osborn gets the Vikings on the board
The Vikings finally got on the board in the third quarter, thanks to KJ Osborn. Broad failed to pass on a long pass in the first half, but made up for it with a 63-yard catch and a run that brought Minnesota to the Colts 4-yard line. Three plays later, Osborne finished the drive with a touchdown.
Pick-six puts the Colts ahead 30-0 going into halftime
Things went from bad to worse for the Vikings on Saturday as their first half nightmare continued. With the Vikings facing a 3rd-and-3 deep in their own territory, Cousins missed Galen Regor on a curling road, and Julian Blackmon picked it up and returned it to the end zone for Indy’s third touchdown of the first half.
The Colts dominate the Vikings in the first quarter
The first quarter of the Colts-Vikings game was an absolute disaster for the home team. Who saw the Colts lead 17-0 at the end of the opening quarter?
Indy got the ball first, and Matt Ryan racked up an 11-play, 44-yard drive that capped off with a 26-yard field goal. On the Vikings’ first possession, they went three-and-then this happened.
Down 10-0 in the blink of an eye, Kirk Cousins and Co needed to right the ship. Instead, Dalvin Cook fumbled a possession two plays later. Ryan then led a seven-play, 66-yard drive that ended with the Colts’ first offensive touchdown of the afternoon.
The Colts also do without the services of Jonathan Taylor, who He left the game during the opening drive. He was soon ruled out with an ankle injury.
Miami arrives in snowy Buffalo with trunks of cold-weather gear
Dolphins are not in Miami anymore. Old Winter arrived in Buffalo on Friday night, leaving about eight inches of the white stuff behind. Buffalo isn’t done snowing yet, as a lake effect snow warning is in effect until 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. According to the hourly forecast, the precipitation will go from “a few snow showers” at 2 p.m. ET, to a “snow shower” by 5 p.m. ET and then immediately “snow” as it kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET.
dolphins They do their best To prepare for the grim conditions, they brought 1,400 pounds of baggage along with cold weather gear to Orchard Park, For all NFL media. Each player has several cleats to try to find the best footing in the snow.
Competitors or protesters? Let’s find out
Saturday NFL games are always bittersweet.
On the one hand, it is the unofficial start to the end of the regular season. Before we know it, more than half of the league will be watching the playoffs from the couch.
On the other hand, did I mention we get the NFL games on Saturday?! No offense to the LendingTree Bowl or the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. I just, like many other soccer fans around the world, prefer watching Justin Jefferson and Jonathan Taylor; Mark Andrews and Nick Chubb; and Josh Allen and Toa Tagovailoa. From 1pm ET on Saturday to 11:30pm ET on Sunday, there will be professional football for 21 of the 34.5 possible hours! (And you’ll be asleep most of the time.)
But not only is there a load of NFL action this weekend, there are a lot of interesting showdowns. Do the Lions, Jaguars and Panthers have a chance of improbably sneaking into the playoffs? In order for that to happen, Detroit must take down the miserable Jets and Jacksonville must take down the Cowboys. Carolina has more wiggle room in the NFC South, but losing to the Kenny Pickett-less Steelers would be a bad look.
Elsewhere, AFC wild teams have check-type matches. We’ve already mentioned the Jets, but there’s also the Patriots going to Las Vegas, the Chargers trying to take on the Titans and the Dolphins looking to win in the freezing and snowy weather (against a Super Bowl favorite).
In the NFC, there’s an elimination game between the Saints and Falcons, “Are they really going to miss the playoffs?” Buccaneers vs. Bengals game, and a fierce NFC East match-up between the Giants and Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.”
There is a lot of football to watch and a lot at stake for many of these teams. Let’s see who progresses with the season at stake.
