Eagles Bears final injury report: Philly ruled one player out, Chicago upset
The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on the Friday before their Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears.
The Birds judged one outfield player: Red Blankenship.
Blankenship missed practice this week while recovering from a knee injury he picked up in Week 14. Given that the Eagles didn’t put him on injured reserve, it looks like they’re expecting him back in Week 16 or Week 17.
Blankenship was only playing because CJ Gardner-Johnson went down with a torn kidney in Week 12. With those two men out, the Eagles fell to a third-string starting option: K’Von Wallace.
Wallace hasn’t played well this year. It allows a rating of 154.2 lanes when targeted. He was jumped on the depth chart by Blankenship, an undrafted rookie free agent, for some reason.
On the bright side, the Bears don’t have a prolific passing attack (more on that below). Chicago turns the ball more than any other team. Wallace is better at defending the run than he is at covering.
The Eagles have a few options other than Wallace who can figure out when to play, even if it’s only in a rotational ability. Back-up nickel cornerback Josiah Scott brought second-team safety delegates back to training camp so he has some experience there. 2021 player Anthony Harris is back with the team after re-signing with the practice squad earlier this week. The Eagles will likely use one of their temporary highs on Harris in order to get him for game day.
In other injury news, no other player has been listed with match status. This includes Lynn Johnson and Landon Dickerson, who were below 100% this week with abdominal and back injuries, respectively.
Dallas Goedert was not included in the Eagles’ final injury report because he was not yet on the roster. But it looks like it’s ready to activate from the IR before 4:00 PM ET on Saturday. The Philly offense would hardly be completely lost without him, but they’d be happy to have him back.

Barnett was absent from the year due to the nature of his anterior cruciate ligament injury. CJGJ is recovering from a ruptured kidney and is eligible to return in Week 17 at the earliest. Goedert is eligible to return in Week 15 and appears to have a good chance of playing after the 21-day training window opens. Siposs will miss at least the rest of the regular season due to an ankle injury. Tuipulotu is absent for the year due to the nature of his knee injury. Quinn is dealing with a knee injury and is eligible to return in Week 18 at the earliest.

The Eagles did not activate Toth’s 21-day training window.
Chicago Bears Injury Report (Friday)
The Bears have several key players in the starting linebacker: running back Khalil Herbert, quarterback receiver Darnell Mooney, starting safety Eddie Jackson, and starting inside offensive lineman Lucas Patrick.
In addition to losing these guys, the Bears would be without starting wide receiver Chase Claypool. And so they are left with the following WR options:
- Equinemos St. Brown: 280 yards, 1 TD
- Dante Bettis: 202 yards, 2 TD’s
- N’Keal Harry: 93 yards, 1 TD
- Byron Pringle: 57 yards, 1 TD
- Philos Jones Jr.: 24 yards, 1 TD
On paper, these guys up against the Eagles’ secondary is a huge mismatch in Philly’s favor.
The Bears ruled offensive lineman Larry Borum, who started earlier this year and has since provided depth, as questionable for play.
The aforementioned N’Keal Harry is questionable to play despite being fully involved in practice all week. Same for starting the Kindle Vildor.
