The first Manon cosplay in Street Fighter 6 we’ve ever seen is so sweet, it gets the Game Director’s attention

KittyKaboom has put together a quick outfit for her new superhero style fighter

Street Fighter fans are eating well this month as Capcom holds its now second closed beta test for Street Fighter 6 after revealing last week four new characters coming to the game’s playable launch slate. Longtime fighter Dee Jay, as well as newcomers JP, Marisa, and Manon have been met with praise from the community, with each of the new fighters quickly becoming favorites for many people.

A judo/ballet fighter who also happens to be a supermodel, Manon is definitely one of the standouts in Street Fighter 6’s all-new characters, so likable in fact that it actually inspired her first cosplay. Kitty Kaboom, a top-tier fighting game community player, put together a costume for SF6’s Manon with the items she only had in her locker, and even with limited materials, she really knocked it out of the park. This cosplay caught the attention of the director of Street Fighter 6, Takayuki Nakayama.

In the latest Street Fighter 6 trailer, Capcom showed off two different outfits for newcomer Manon. When we first saw her, she was wearing her supermodel and doing ballet. Four of her back dancers travel across the screen in front of her, and when she reappears she can be seen in her default outfit – which looks more like her wrestling and judo uniforms.

Kitty’s cosplay takes after the ultra version, which wears big, thick sunglasses, a leather shirt and pants, and a jacket with large feathers on the collar. She also wears a gold medallion around her neck and styled her elegant white hair in this ensemble.

This cosplay looks pretty close to what we see in the game for Manon, and the fact that Kitty was able to build it using things she had lying around at home is even more impressive. We can’t wait to see how this sweet Manon cosplay evolves when Kitty gets more material specifically for the look.

After sharing two photos of the Street Fighter 6 Manon cosplay on Twitter, it was met with many compliments from followers and fans. Among those who said nice things about kaboom cosplay was none other than SF6 director Nakayama himself, who, thanks to Google Translate, we know said something along the lines of “cute manon.”

Manon, Marisa, JP, Dee Jay, Ryu, Chun-Li, and the rest of the launch roster of 18 characters will be playable when the game drops on June 2, 2023. Street Fighter 6 will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
