Raheem Mostert is having a great first quarter. Mostert broke up tackles and ran 67 yards down the right sideline. Taron Johnson eventually pulled Mostert down and was called for horse collar practice, putting the ball at the Bills’ 4-yard line. Mostert has 100 yards rushing in the first quarter.
Josh Allen throws a TD to Quintin Morris for a TD – Bills 7, Dolphins 3
This was fast. Buffalo scored on four plays. Josh Allen Dawson hit Knox, who broke up tackles along the right sideline, for 45 yards. Devin Singletary took a short pass 13 yards on the next play and then Allen made a beautiful throw to tight end Quintin Morris for a 14-yard touchdown.

Raheem Mostert rushed for 9 yards on first down. Alec Engold ran for two yards and a first down. Guard Robert Hunt was reported for his second false start in the quarter. Mostert took a short 20-yard pass for another first down. Two plays later, Tua Tagovailoa completed to Jaylen Waddle for 15 yards. Tyreek Hill made a 5-yard reception before Hill was able to hold on to a pass while defending Tre’Davious White. Hill made a short run at third but was passed just short of first by Dane Jackson. Mostert converted with a 3-yard run down the middle. Miami faced the third-and-one on the Bills’ 11 after two more runs and almost turned the ball over. Shaq Lawson got a strip sack on Tagovailoa but it was recovered by Dolphins tight end Durham Smith. Jason Sanders made a 39-yard field goal.
Buffalo kicks on first possession – 10:44 first quarter
Buffalo caught its first consecutive play touchdown on its first possession. Josh Allen completed to Dawson Knox for 11 yards and hit Stefon Diggs for 15 yards. Allen was nearly intercepted on the next play before Devin Singletary ran for a 2-yard touchdown run on second down. Allen’s attempt was incomplete for Diggs on third down, and Sam Martin made a 38-yard punt to the Dolphins’ 27.
Cole Beasley starts for the bills
Cole Paisley isn’t just active tonight. It started. Paisley was signed to the practice squad on Tuesday, was brought to the active list the Saturday before the game and was on Buffalo’s first surprise offense.

Miami received the ball first and Raheem Mostert returned the kickoff 28 yards to the Dolphins’ 36-yard line. Mostert got his first two carries, going for 13 and 4 yards before Tua Tagovailoa threw an incompletion to Alec Ingold and guard Robert Hunt made a false start on stellar Highmark Stadium. Tagovailoa’s pass to Jaylen Waddell went out of bounds on third down. Buffalo was called to hold Thomas Morstead’s head.
Gillan Phillips is hot shirtless in Buffalo
Growing up in Southern California, Gillan Phillips played college football at UCLA and the University of Miami and landed with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. The outside linebacker may not own a jacket. He didn’t need one to warm up before the match.
Phillips chose to work out shirtless on the field before the game, with drills and throwing snowballs.
Cole Beasley is active in the first game with the Bills
Buffalo signed wide receiver Cole Beasley earlier in the week. He’s already active in the Bills. Beasley came out of retirement to sign with the practice squad on Tuesday. He caught 82 passes in each of the Bills’ last two seasons before retiring, coming out of retirement to play two games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in September before being released, then retiring again.
CB Xavier Rhodes, LB Baylon Spector, TE Tommy Sweeney, S Dean Marlowe, OL Ryan Bates, and DT Jordan Phillips are inactive for the Bills.
QB Teddy Bridgewater, WR Erik Ezukanma, S Eric Rowe, DB Elijah Campbell, RB Jeff Wilson Jr. And WR River Cracraft is not active for Dolphins.

It’s cold and snowy at Haymark Stadium. The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a Lake Impact Snow Warning until 1 p.m. Sunday for parts of Erie County. Heavy-impact snowfall of 4 to 8 inches is expected. Thundersnow is also possible in the area and temperatures for the game should be in the upper 20s.
