Marvel has reportedly cut a “depressed” Becky Lynch scene for the MCU post-credits

According to a new report, Marvel Studios cut a disappointing post-credits scene from a major project in Phase 4.

A little teasing after every MCU project is a tradition at this point and something that has continued throughout Phase 4 (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever being a notable exception) yet Avengers: Endgame.

So far, some of these small scenes have introduced characters like Pip the Troll, Eros, and Hercules along the upcoming plot lines of Moon Knight and Kit Harrington’s Dane Whitman. Others were comedies, like Bubba V’s Pizza Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Or “Rogers: The Music” at the end hook.

The majority of recent tags are set up for upcoming stories and plot lines. Now it appears that another scene, which was supposed to set the stage for a future story, has been left on the cutting room floor – and it was supposedly too grim.

In a new report from Fightful Select, it’s been revealed that professional wrestler Becky Lynch had a Marvel role in Phase 4 of the MCU, but was cut.

The part was for Chloe Zhao eternal And it was to be a scene after the first movie ended.

The outlet knew that Lynch was involved with the MCU back in 2021, but no one at Marvel Studios has commented on that. They were told that “It was the turn [the Eternals] in a post-credit scene to set something up for a future installment.”

They made it clear how it’s not out of the question for Lynch to reprise her cut role in the future, even though her first scene was cut. Fightful Select sources also claimed that Marvel Studios themselves were happy with the actresses’ performances, so they had nothing to do with why the scene was cut.

The site also explained that it is not known for certain if Lynch’s scenes were actually filmed or if they were cut before going in front of the cameras.

The sources indicated that the aforementioned scene was “very disappointed” It also included Harry Styles’ Eros.

Neither Marvel nor Becky Lynch have responded to comment on the rumors.

What MCU content has been eliminated?

So who was Lynch in the MCU? There is no clear answer.

One of the better choices could be a gender-bent version of Zuras, one of the main Eternals that didn’t make it into the team’s first movie. In the comics, the character is one of the oldest in the group and was responsible for building Olympia, their main base of operations.

Another possible option is Shastra, although it’s not much of a major player.

Both of these possibilities have red hair, which the actress shares — a slight connection, but a connection nonetheless.

As for the frustrating side of her role, it is not clear. Chloé Zhao previously admitted that the movie once had a very dark ending which involved all of them having their memories of the Eternals erased and sent to a new planet.

She may have been a part of those scenes, either as a new member of the team or as someone doing a mind scan.

Hope it is eternal The sequel will eventually flesh out, and maybe Lynch’s secret role could be tapped into.
