The trailer for The Rig hit the web this week and like 1899, it’s described as a supernatural thriller that also takes place in a nautical setting.

“With their helicopter nowhere to arrive and supplies limited, rig head Magnus (Game of Thrones’ Ian Glenn) tries to guide his already fractured crew through the developing crisis,” the plot synopsis reads.
“But his increasingly desperate efforts to restore contact with the mainland are repeatedly disrupted as tensions and paranoia mount, rig systems fail, and a devastating accident pits them all against the deadly dangers of one of the most inhospitable work environments on the planet.”
Alongside Glen, the series features Schitt’s Creek’s Emily Hampshire as a skeptical oil company representative aboard the rig, as well as Line of Duty cast members Martin Compston, Mark Bonnar, Rochanda Sandall, and Owen Till.
