Top 40 Hip Hop Songs of 2022

The 2022 journey has been full of ups and downs, but what we can all agree on is that it has been an exceptional year for music. The pandemic-filled days seemed like a thing of the past and a sense of normalcy was restored in our daily lives. People were really out there, and so were our favorite artists.

After revealing the Top 40 Hip-Hop Albums of 2022, we’re back with the accompanying list of our best songs of the year. It’s a daunting task to rank the top 40 songs of the year, especially considering how many great records have been dropped. Some were viral records that took on a life of their own through the power of TikTok (like Lil Yachty’s “Poland” and Ice Spice’s “Munch”). However, there were also plenty of album highlights from hip-hop’s most famous MCs, from esteemed wordmakers (Pusha T, Denzel Curry, etc.) to reliable hitmakers (Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, etc.).

Artists like Future and Kendrick Lamar have emerged from a long hiatus from hip-hop and delivered some great moments from their latest projects. At the same time, rappers like Lil Uzi Vert and Nicki Minaj have come up with a few crap that have us talking in anticipation of their next studio albums.

Below, we’ve ranked the top 40 great songs of 2022. Browse through our picks below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
