Al Roker breaks down in tears for ‘Today’ show co-hosts amid sudden health battle: ‘I miss you all so much’
The Rocker was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears as Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer, Sheinelle Jones, and more from his cast. Today His family joined him outside his home to sing Christmas carols to him after he was released from hospital earlier this month, after spending more than two weeks there due to horrific health concerns.

Rucker was first hospitalized shortly after Thanksgiving due to blood clots that had spread to his lungs. He was in the hospital for over two weeks, returning just a day after being discharged due to reported “complications”, but now appears to be on the mend. He has the support of his fans, his family and of course his support Today His family, who surprised him by visiting his home upon his return from the hospital!
The “Today” family sing Christmas carols to Roker at his home
The lovable 68-year-old weatherman shared some photos of the sweet event on his Instagram account on December 14, along with the caption: “Words can’t express how much I love my @todayshow family for coming over to do some caroling including a special rendition” I’ll be home for #Christmas.”
“It’s very impressive that you did it without a navigator,” he joked. “I have missed all of you, very much, all of these faces,” he continued, while being very evident in being overcome with emotion. “It means the world to me, our family and my family [wife] Deborah, who has just been my rock. thank you very much. I really appreciate that. I love you more than you can imagine.”

Rocker was a part of Today For more than 25 years, he told fans that he is now recovering in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. He even shared photos of his family decorating their Christmas tree together inside their Manhattan home, which no doubt had fans cheering.

Rocker made his first job Today He appeared after his hospitalization on Monday, December 12, to give fans a long-awaited update on his health. Appearing virtually, Savannah Guthrie told Rucker, “We miss you so much. The crowd misses you. There isn’t a day when we don’t go out and people don’t hold signs: ‘Where’s Al?’ “We want no!”
Before going into more detail about what he’s going through, Rucker said, “It’s good to be home. It’s good to see your faces.” “It’s been a tough uphill, I’m not going to lie, it’s been the hardest yet and you know I’ve had my share of surgeries. So there’s a certain amount of frailty. I do physical therapy every day, occupational therapy. I have to get my strength back.”
“But I feel good. I feel strong. Every day is a little better than the last, and I had dinner last night,” he added. “I just feel like there would be a little less effort. But there are people who have to deal with a lot with a lot less. I’m very fortunate and very blessed to have the resources.”
