Prince William takes ‘Harry and Meghan’ document very personally: royal expert

Prince William takes Megflix personally.

William is feeling “incredibly upset and betrayed” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new documentary series, “Harry and Meghan,” according to a royal expert.

The final three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series dropped yesterday, with a slew of allegations against William – including that William yelled at Harry for leaving royal duties, William intimidated the royal couple, and William conspired with Markle. In the Associated Press lawsuit, William sent an apparently shocking text to Harry after meeting Oprah Winfrey and that William broke a pact not to circulate negative press stories about his brother.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that the accusations could mean there is no good chance of reconciliation between Harry, 38, and William, 40.

“Well, I think given the claims Harry has made in the last three episodes of these docu-series, being so personal about his brother, I think she really takes a back seat at any chance [healing] “The crack is in the foreseeable future,” Nicol said.

Even if William had not watched this documentary series, and I understand he has not, he would be well aware of the headlines. He would be well aware of the damage to his reputation, he said, and I think that also goes a long way in explaining why the brothers could not agree on speaking terms.

A royal source told Page Six that William and Princess Kate, 40, haven’t seen “Harry and Meghan.”

Nicholl shared that the Prince of Wales feels “deeply betrayed” by his brother and is “very upset” and “will take this very personally”. She also said William had concerns that any private conversations the two might have could end up in Harry’s upcoming memoir, “Spear” – which is due out on January 10.

“I mean, this couple has never been away from their iPhones, off their cameras, who have really chronicled their lives over the last couple of years — I think there’s a huge sense of mistrust within the family,” explained Nichol. “They simply feel that any reconciliation… is not in the cards because they don’t trust it won’t end up in a TV show or in a book.”

“I think anger flares up, and gangs run high. There’s a lot of tension, there’s a lot of irritation, there’s a lot of anger and resentment, and any reconciliation is really out of reach,” the royal expert added.

Nicol believes Harry will eventually regret directing the docuseries because of “any chance of reconciliation with his family.” [is] Almost impossible, for sure anytime in the near future.”

Prince Harry has alleged in the docuseries that his brother yelled at him during a family meeting where he and Markle, 41, proposed a “half in, half out” agreement, where they would have their own jobs but still do some work to support the Queen. Elizabeth.

“It was terrifying to have my brother yelling and screaming at me, my dad saying things that simply weren’t true, and my grandma just sitting there quietly taking in everything,” he said.

Nicole said she wasn’t surprised to hear that William “shouted” at Harry, as the king “has a temper”.

William can be very stubborn, but don’t forget that William was understandably very angry about what happened and how [it] It happened, because Harry and Meghan basically just made a surprise statement, the first of what was supposed to be many surprise statements, where this couple announced that they were stepping down as a member of the royal family,” she explained. “So yeah, he would have been upset. Very, very angry.”

Harry has also claimed that William “scares” the couple out of the royal family.

“As soon as I got in the car, after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement that was posted under my name and my brother’s name crushing the story of him bullying outside the family,” he said.

“I couldn’t believe it. Nobody asked me for permission to put my name in a statement like that. And I called [Meghan] And I told her, and she burst into tears. For in four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother, and yet for three years they were not willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

In the latest episode of the docuseries, Markle’s attorney Jenny Afia discussed the lawsuit in The Associated Newspaper in 2021 and the judge’s ruling in her favor.

Then the Associated Press predictably resumed. when we were about to go [to] Court of Appeal, senior member of [William’s] “The team came forward to give his deposition, which was not required, and unfortunately there is no way to do so without the authority of his superiors,” Afia said of Jason Knauf, William’s former communications secretary.

The Netflix series showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at a friend’s apartment discussing the situation, when they realized Knauf would have to get William’s permission.

“I know, like, like, he’s your brother,” Markle exasperated. “He’s your brother. I won’t say anything about your brother, but he’s obviously like…”

“Obviously they will try to cover it up,” Harry added.

The documentary also showed the moment Harry got a text from his brother after meeting the infamous Oprah Winfrey.

Markle was reading Queen Elizabeth’s response to the camera when it snapped Harry as he silently held his phone to her.

“What am I looking at? Fantastic. He got a text from his brother,” Markle said before hugging Harry, who said, “I wish I knew what to do.”

The docuseries did not say what was in the text message.

Harry claimed that he and his brother also made a pact not to trade negative press stories about each other – a pact that William broke.

“William and I saw what happened in our father’s office and agreed we would never let that happen to our office,” Harry says on the show. “I’d rather be trashed in the press than play with this game or trade business and see my brother’s office do the same thing we both promised we both would never do. It was heartbreaking.”

On the same day that the final three episodes of the docuseries dropped, Prince William appeared to throw shade at Harry and Markle by sharing a quote from the late royal about “teamwork” at Princess Kate’s Carol’s Ball.

During the service, William read a quote from Queen Elizabeth’s 2012 Christmas message, acknowledging the “dedicated efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, celebrating and highlighting the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring.”
