Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leave their children off the holiday ticket

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their 2022 holiday card on Friday, but two very important people were missing from the photo.

The couple’s son, Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1, were notably absent from the greeting.

The card reads, “Happy Holidays.”

“From our family to yours, and on behalf of our teams at the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archwell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year!”

Accompanying the card was a black-and-white photo of Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, taken during a recent night at the Robert F. Kennedy Rebel of Hope award ceremony earlier this month in New York City.

In the photo, the Duke of Sussex wore a dark bodysuit, while the Duchess of Sussex wore an off-the-shoulder white outfit with her hair pulled back.

The couple may have kept their children out of the holiday picture this year because, as they previously shared, they want a “basic right to privacy.”

“If you’re at work and you have a picture of your kid on your desk, and your co-worker says, ‘Oh, my God, your kid is so cute.’ that’s cool! Can I see your phone so I can see all of your baby’s photos? You go, “No. This is the image I feel comfortable sharing with you,” Markle argued in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Then if they double it down and say, ‘No, but you already showed me it. So you have to show me everything. You know what, I’m going to hire someone to sit in front of your house, or hide in the bushes and take pictures in your backyard, ’cause you’re out of luck.” In privacy…because you shared one photo with me.”

Not only does the family want privacy, but they have also had issues with the British media allegedly using racial slurs against their children.

“Why do I give the people who call my kids the N-word a picture of my kid before I can share it with the people who love my kid?” Markle, who is biracial, told The Cut in August.

While the Sussex children remain separated, Prince William and Kate Middleton were sure to have their family of five present for their Christmas card, which was released on Tuesday.

Although the Sussex Islands and Wales spread holiday cheer, families are at odds at the moment.

On Thursday, Netflix released Vol. 2 of the documentary series “Harry and Meghan”, in which the youngest son of Princess Diana and King Charles III talks about his strained relationship with the rest of the royal family.

In one episode, Harry talks about how William broke a pact she made to prevent their offices from leaking negative stories about each other to the press.

“William and I saw what happened in our father’s office and agreed not to let this happen to our office,” said the father-of-two.

“I’d rather be trashed in the press than play with this game or trade business, and to see my brother’s office do the same thing we both promised we both would never do, was heartbreaking.”

Harry also said his older brother yelled at him when he told the family that he and the former “Sweet” actress would step down from their royal duties in 2020.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the series.

All six episodes of “Harry & Meghan” are now available to stream on Netflix.
