Jeremy Clarkson ‘horrified he’s done so much hurt’ after Meghan Markle’s Tyred Garner reaction

Jeremy Clarkson released a statement following his inflammatory comments about Meghan Markle in a column in The Sun newspaper.

On Monday, the “Clarkson Farm” presenter posted a statement on social media, saying he was “terrified he’s done so much hurt.”

“Oh dear. Clarkson tweeted.” In a column I wrote about Meghan, I clumsily made a reference to a scene in Game of Thrones, and it did poorly with a good number of people. I am terrified because I have caused so much harm and I will be more careful in the future.”

In Clarkson’s Dec. 16 column, “One Day Harold Will Tell Gauntlet the Truth About a Woman Who Talks B”*ks,” the former “Top Gear” presenter wrote about Markle: “I hate her. Not as I hate [Scottish National Party leader] Nicola Sturgeon OR [British serial killer] Rose West. I hate it on a cellular level.”

He continued, referring to an infamous “Game of Thrones” scene involving Lena Headey’s Cersei: “At night, I can’t sleep lying there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she’s made to walk naked through the streets of every town in Britain while crowds cheer “Shame!” and throw lumps of excrement at her.

In the column, which Clarkson writes weekly for The Sun, he notes that Prince Harry doesn’t have “control” over his actions anymore, thanks in large part to Markle. He also continues to reflect on the fate of the royal family, which he appears to believe will be hit hard by the accusations by Markle and Prince Harry in the six-hour docu-series, which concluded on December 15.

On Sunday, Emily Clarkson, daughter of Clarkson, an author and podcast host, made it clear on her official Instagram Stories that she disagreed with her father’s comments.

Emily Clarkson writes, “My views have been and have always been unequivocal when it comes to misogyny, bullying, and the treatment of women by the media.” “I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything my father has written about Meghan Markle and I still stand in support of those targeted with hate online.”

Emily Clarkson had previously posted about the Mail Online being ‘concerned’ about Markle being ‘destroyed’.

Clarkson’s primary partner, Amazon Prime Video, has yet to speak about the star presenter’s behavior — and it’s unlikely they will. says a source diverse Amazon Prime Video will not comment or make a statement about Clarkson’s comments.

It was Prime Video that pounced on “Top Gear” in 2015 after the BBC cut ties with Clarkson after the host punched one of the show’s producers. The parting of ways came at great cost to the broadcaster, with Top Gear worth more than £50m a year, and bringing in a huge global audience.

Prime Video has been spun off from “Top Gear” as “The Grand Tour,” which is now in its fifth season, and has gone on to give Clarkson a number of commissions, including “Clarkson’s Farm,” which will return for a second season in February.

Although Amazon remains silent about Clarkson, his comments received intense reactions from various public figures. His Dark Materials writer Philip Pullman condemned the column as well as media mogul Rupert Murdoch, whose news group owns The Sun.

“Jeremy Clarkson is nothing in and of itself: a short loud noise and a short stink. The ass that came off him, as I said yesterday, is Rupert Murdoch,” Pullman said Monday.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said of the comments: “As Jeremy Clarkson should well know – words have consequences. The words in his article are no joke – they are dangerous and unforgivable. We are in an epidemic of violence against women and girls, and men with strong voices must do what is Better than this.

Meanwhile, TV presenter Carol Vorderman wrote: “Not Jeremy Clarkson. Not on any level, under any circumstances, is it okay to write these things about any woman not at all for ‘everyone my age who thinks the same’ no No no. We absolutely don’t think the same thing. Listen to Jeremy’s noise. The crowd chants “Shame on you.”
