Patricia Arquette is open about face-lifts amid Hollywood pressure to look youthful
Patricia Arquette isn’t against going under the knife to stay young because the pressure in Hollywood to look a certain way is very real.
“This is my own face, and if tomorrow I decide to get plastic surgery, I will,” the “Mean” alum, 54, told Page Six EXCLUSIVELY at the Gotham Awards earlier this week.
“Everyone has to do their own thing…but I understand why people feel this pressure.”
Arquette added that there is “a real pressure to look a certain way” in Hollywood.
“[The look is] This is, kind of, eternal creativity, and you just don’t see it very often in the human race,” said the “Severance” star. “It’s kind of a special Hollywood look.”
Then Arquette explained how she can rise above the pressure.
“At the end of the day, there’s Hollywood and your relationship with Hollywood as an actor, and then there’s also your relationship with yourself and the world around you,” said the “Otherhood” star.
“What adventures do you want in this life? I feel very happy with who I am.”
Arquette has been acting for decades, appearing in movies like ‘True Romance’ and ‘Flirting with Disaster’.
Over the past few years, she has received recognition for her work, including a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Boyhood, and Emmy wins for her roles in The Act and Escape at Dannemora.
Arquette is currently starring in the hit series “Severance” playing Harmony Cobel, the mysterious boss at Lumon Industries.
“She’s been playing eccentric women lately and I have to say it’s really fun,” the “Wildflower” star told Page Six. “This character [in ‘Severance’] It is really fun for me. It’s a real company in a way.”
“She’s been indoctrinated by this company and she’s doing all these things for the greater good of the company,” Arquette added, before noting.
