“Without spoiling anything, a delightful creative pivot that happens more than halfway through the movie reminds viewers that some of the foundational expectations of the murder mystery genre haven’t even been met, and the story is already closer to its payoff than the crime that sets their chase in motion.”
2. Michelle Yeoh leads the magician Role
Sunday, 3:01 a.m. on Netflix: A limited series from Declan de Barra and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is coming to Netflix the magician. blood origin, set 1,200 years in the past, will explore the creation of the first Witcher and the ancient Elven civilization before its demise. Michelle Yeoh, Sophia Brown, Lawrence O’Voaran, and Lenny Henry lead the cast. This is an excerpt from av clubreview:
Coming in at just four episodes, most of which feature the brilliant Michelle Yeoh and a surprisingly charismatic (if not entirely) cast of adventurers, it doesn’t take a huge investment – and at the end of the day you still get to see someone become an elementary wizard and watch them destroy a large monster. The fight scenes are well done (even when a lot of CG is involved), and the costumes and overall art design are impressive and varied.
