Mandy Rose was released from WWE due to racy subscription photos

Mandy Rose’s long reign with the NXT Championship and his reign with WWE ended in 24 hours.

Rose was released from WWE due to the racy photos she shared on her FanTime page. FanTime is a platform similar to OnlyFans where users can pay a monthly subscription fee to access exclusive content from the creators.

Rose’s FanTime page costs $40 per month. In recent days, photos from her page in the shower with her fiancé Tino Sabbatelli, which can be described as somewhere between an R- and an X, have begun to circulate on the Internet.

It was the news of Rose’s release First reported by Fightful Select. A WWE spokesperson declined to comment to The Post.

The 32-year-old Rose, whose real name is Amanda Rose Saccomano, was the women’s champion in NXT – WWE’s developmental brand – for over 400 days before losing to Roxanne Perez on Wednesday night. In story, it was a relatively shocking twist to have the title’s reign of this length end on standard television instead of on pay-per-view.

Rose made her WWE debut in 2015.

There are two factors at play here. One was the level of racism in the photos. While Rose’s character has been sexualized in WWE, in the current era, WWE content hasn’t quite moved up to what Rose was sharing on her page.

The other issue is that WWE has made it clear to its artists that outside business endeavors have to go through it. In 2020, Vince McMahon warned talent against participating in platforms like Twitch and Cameo without cooperating with WWE in a letter – and threatened termination if terms were breached.

“Some of you are dealing with outside parties that use your name and likeness in ways that are detrimental to our company,” McMahon, who resigned from WWE management earlier this year, wrote at the time.

“It is essential to finish these activities within the next 30 days (by Friday, October 2nd). Continued violations will result in fines, suspension, or termination at WWE’s discretion.”

Zelina Vega was fired by WWE in November 2020 for launching an OnlyFans account that did not contain provocative content. The company brought her back the following summer.

WWE released a statement at the time explaining the rationale.

“Like Disney and Warner Bros., WWE creates, promotes, and invests in its intellectual property, such as stage names for performers like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Big E, and Braun Strowman,” the company said.

“It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to generate revenue, which in turn enables the company to compensate performers at the highest levels in the sports entertainment industry. Regardless of contractual language, protecting our greatest assets and partnering with third parties is essential to our company’s success. the company, rather than at the individual level, which will as a result provide greater value for all involved.”
