Critics’ Choice nominations: “Everything, Everywhere, At Once” leads with 14, followed by “Fable Men” and “Babel”
The Critics’ Choice Awards nominations were announced Wednesday, with Daniels’ multiverse drama “Everything Everywhere at the Same Time” topping the list with a staggering 14 nods, including Best Picture. Among her massive tally are four mentions of Michelle Yeoh in Best Actress, Ke Hui Kwan in Supporting Actor, Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu in Supporting Actress. Daniels received dual nods for writing and directing the A24 box office hit.
Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans” has 11 nominations, including two for supporting actors Paul Dano and Judd Hirsch. Other favorites were Damien Chazelle’s “Babylon,” which earned 10 nods, and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” which earned nine.
Along with “Everything Everywhere” in the Best Picture category are “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “Babylon,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Elvis,” “The Fabelmans,” and “Glass Onion: A Knives.” Out Mystery” “RRR”, “Tár”, “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Women Talking”. With the exception of Joseph Kosinski for “Top Gun” and Rian Johnson for “Glass Onion,” the other nine directors are among the 10 nominees in the Best Director category, as well as Gina Prince-Bythewood for “The Woman King.”
Other refreshingly quirky additions among the names include Paul Mescal’s tender work in “Aftersun” for Best Actor, Danielle Deadwiller’s running back after being snubbed by the Globes for her role in “Till” and Michael Giacchino’s brilliant score on finding love for “Batman.”

This recognition comes from a diverse group of more than 600 entertainment critics and reporters who share their opinions on film and television with millions of people every day, all year long.
As previously announced, Jeff Bridges will receive the Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s ceremony. On the television side, ABC’s Abbott Elementary leads the center with six nods, including best comedy series, followed by AMC’s “Better Call Saul” with five nods.
