Allison Holker: My heart aches after the death of husband Stephen, his ‘boss’
Allison Holker broke her silence on social media, speaking about how much pain she feels in one week after the suicide death of her husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
“My one and only oh how my heart aches. We miss you so much,” she captioned a photo of her and her late husband in a new Instagram post on Wednesday.
Many of Holker’s friends flooded the comments section of her post as she mourned the loss of the dancer and “Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ.
“There’s a lot of love coming to you. I hope you feel that,” DeGeneres commented.
“Sorry buddy,” Tamar Braxton wrote, while Christina Perri added, “Sending you so much love.”
“You and your family have been surrounded by so much love,” said Julianne Hough.
“Sending all the love to you, Alison,” added Peta Murgatroyd.
The posted photo was the 34-year-old Holker’s first Instagram post since Bose’s death on Dec. 14. He was 40 years old.
Boss’ body was found in a Los Angeles hotel after his wife became concerned about his whereabouts. Later that day, his cause of death was ruled a suicide by a gunshot wound to the head. He reportedly left a suicide note referring to the challenges.
Holker mourned the loss of Boss in a statement to Peoples after news of his death broke.
“It’s one of the greatest hearts I have to share with my departed husband Stephen,” Holker told the website at the time. Stephen lit up every room he entered. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him.
She added, “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
A few days before the president’s death, the duo celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
“Saying YES to sir_twitch_alot was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!!” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I love you baby and I will never take you or our love for granted! I love you #happyanniversary #bosswedding2013.”
Boss also honored the achievement with his own tribute on his wife’s Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday my love @allisonholker #9years.”
The couple fell in love while competing on the seventh season of “So You Think You Can Dance.” They dated for three years before he popped the question and tied the knot in 2013.
Holker and Boss eventually start a family. Together, they welcomed two children: Maddox, 6, and Zaya, 3. Boss also took on the role of “second father” to Holker’s daughter, Wesley, 14, who welcomed her with a former partner.
They also had plans to have more babies as recently as November.
