Jennifer Lopez spills her “favorite things”: Hermes blankets, Le Labo candles

Jennifer Lopez gave fans a new edition of her “On the JLo” newsletter on Monday, sharing details of a hummingbird-themed birthday bash with husband Ben Affleck and their kids — for which she wore a colorful Gucci gown she’d been waiting for. for the perfect occasion to wear it” — plus some of her “favorites,” which are just as luxurious as you’d expect.
“If you need a great gift, they really work all year long for any special person or special occasion,” she wrote of the pricey selections she made as gifts for Christmas this season.
Among the items that have earned JLo’s seal of approval? Le Labo scented candles—particularly the Santal 26 ($82), which you buy in bulk. (As first reported by The Cut in 2019, Lopez orders 50 candles every month, but actually used to buy 100, sometimes 200 candles at a time. Talk about an intense passion.)

“This year I gave away the Le Labo Candle Discovery Set ($67) to a few people in my inner circle,” the star wrote in her newsletter. “I’m totally obsessed when it comes to the Santal 26 scented candle. It’s the signature scent in our house, and this new set comes with three tealights, so you can see which scent you like the most.”
Meanwhile, Lopez—who paired her blue and white striped Ralph Lauren dress with a custom Nick Fouquet fedora for a post-wedding brunch in August—described the iconic milliner’s creations as “high fashion.”

And Meghan Markle isn’t the only famous fan of the Hermes Avalon blanket ($1,625); Lopez included the extravagant throw in her gift guide as well, calling it the “closest thing” she could find to the “itchy blanket” she loved as a child.
“Growing up in New York when it was cold, there was something so comforting about that warm blanket against my skin,” she wrote. “Sometimes kids and kids make fun of me because I love the itchy feeling of wool on my skin, but it reminds me of my childhood.”
Praising the $1,000 Hermès offering as “chic and Bronx chic at the same time,” she added, “It’ll keep you so warm!!! You won’t regret it! Then again maybe that’s an acquired taste.”
But not everything on Lopez’s gift list will break your budget. The “Shotgun Wedding” star also included “The Pocket Thich Nhat Hanh” ($9)—a tiny bit of teachings from a beloved Zen Buddhist monk—plus Smooth + Seduce Contouring Body Cream ($60) and Tighten + Tease Resurfacing Body Serum ( $60) from her own brand, JLo Beauty.
Lopez even showed off a “cool” gift she received herself this holiday season: a “very cool” Selena T-shirt sent by the late Tejano singer’s family.
