“Sister Wives” star Meri Brown posted a cryptic note after Kody’s split
“Sister Wives” star Mary Brown has published a vague message about facts and stories, following the news of her separation from her husband, Cody Brown.
“Not everything is as it always seems,” she warned her Instagram followers on Wednesday. “Often, we accept a version of a story as truth because it fits the narrative we’ve created, or what we want to believe.”
“It’s not always about what you’re looking at but also where you’re looking,” the letter continued. “Everyone has their own experiences and their own realities.”
The 51-year-old TLC star concluded her post with a reminder that “no matter how flat a pie is, it always has two sides.”
The caption is a close-up of Meri holding a book with the words “There’s a lot of story…” splattered across the photo.
Fans and critics alike theorized in the comments section that she might be teasing an upcoming book.
The TV personality also shared a quote via her Instagram Story that read, “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is an opinion, not the truth.”
Earlier this week, Miri encouraged her fans to be “worthy” by finding their own “bravery” and “strength.”
During Sunday’s episode of “Sister Wives: One on One,” Meri watched a clip of Cody saying in a confession that he “doesn’t consider” himself married to her.
“I didn’t hear him say that to me,” admitted host Sukanya Krishnan, noting that Kodi had “already made the decision” to leave her after 32 years together — 24 of which were in a legal marriage.
The polyamorous family — which at one point consisted of Cody and his four wives — moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
“Even since I was in Flagstaff, he led me to believe he was trying,” Merry told Krishnan, claiming that Cody even toasted her on her one-year anniversary of living there by saying, “Cheers for a new start.”
But sometime after that, things changed. Merry said she called Cody on their second anniversary in Flagstaff and his response was, “I don’t even know why you called me, Merry. We’re not married. We don’t act like we’re married.”
She explained, “I then said to him, ‘If this is where we are, don’t you think we should address that publicly?'” And he said, “No, I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want it to come out publicly because I don’t want this ruling.”
Meri said she would “definitely consider” a reconciliation but admitted that Cody wasn’t “interested”.
Together they share one child — 26-year-old Leon — who came out as transgender in June.
The couple’s split came just days after second wife Janelle Brown revealed that she and Cody had “been separated for several months.”
Third wife Kristen Brown was the first to leave the businessman, announcing the end of their 25-year “spiritual union” last November.
And Robyn Brown, whom Cody legally married in 2014, is still his only wife.
