AR Fox and Top Flight win The Three Kings Casino Battle Royal last time Claudio Castagnoli gets eliminated (21:55)
These were Royal Rumble rules with a new trio entering every two minutes. A team is not eliminated until all three team members have been eliminated. I’m glad the winners get $300,000 in fake money, because I would have been really worried about how to evenly divide the $100,000 in fake money.
Cape Sabian, the butcher and the bladeAnd the Best friends And the Rush, Preston Vance, and Dralistico I started. Vance took out Taylor with a spinebuster and eliminated him. Blackpool Fight Club He came out after that. The action is just a typical battle royale.
Then she was John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and Evil Ono To a massive pop, they chased after Preston Vance. Reynolds and Ono nearly eliminated Jon Moxley, pounding Vance with a silver in the corner.
After a commercial break, Sabian, Orange Cassidy, and Blade were eliminated in quick fashion. Serpentico, Angelico and Luther (Spanish Announcement Team) They were the next participants, and they entered from the Spanish Announcement table. Angelico is quickly eliminated. Dralistico was eliminated by Silver, then Silver eliminated Rush. Uno and Rush exchanged pieces in the corner. Moxley hit Ono with a cutter and eventually threw him to the ground.
Claudio Castagnoli threw Luther after a forearm shot. Ari Davari and Varsity Athletes I entered after that. They have teamed up with Beretta three times on Earth. Utah (I think) dumped Alex Reynolds. Rush gave Utah the Bulls Horns and removed it. Vance gave Serpentico a hard pinch and eliminated him.
AR Fox and Top Flight He was the last team to enter. Top Flight fired a Beretta into a Fox cutter. Castagnoli kicked D’Avari out of the ring for disposal. Moxley catapulted Vance to the ground. Fox tried a springboard to the right but was caught on a knee from Josh Woods. Dante Martin threw Woods to the ground. Nese tried a jumping splash, but Darius pushed Nese into the rebound and into the ground to knock it down.
Beretta hit River on the apron to Butcher to eliminate him, and Rush hit a sliding kick to eliminate Beretta. Castagnoli and Rush exchanged arms and both fought on the battlefield. After a long sequence, Castagnoli eliminated Rush with a forearm. Moxley then eliminated AR Fox.
This left Claudio and Moxley against Top Flight. As they squared off, Hagman Page ran in and attacked Moxley. A group of security guards came to keep Paige away from Moxley. In the chaos, Darius Martin finished off Moxley with a kick from behind. The fight between Moxley and Page continued to fight on the ground while security tried to separate them. Moxley came out on top with a splash on Page and the bouncers.
Back in the ring, Castagnoli caught Dante coming off the springboard with a forearm. Castagnoli picked up both members of Top Flight on his shoulders and tried to shake them off. They slipped, and they both tried to push Castagnoli off, but he slipped out of it and nearly knocked both of them to the ground. The fans are behind Castagnoli. Darius sent Martin over the top with a rope, but he stayed on the apron. Darius hit a spinning DDT on Castagnoli and a Double Top Flight canvass covered him over the ropes but his feet didn’t hit the ground. Finally, Dante catches Claudio with a Rana move (using Darius as a springboard) and Darius gives him an extra push to send Claudio to Earth for victory.
Most of the battle royales were the usual boring battle royal stuff, but when I got to the finale with Moxley/Caudio and Top Flight, it got awesome.
– Eddie Kingston and Ortiz did promotional work inside the ring. Kingston and Ortiz sent the House of Black a contract but did not sign it. Kingston wants them to hit the lights like they have a blackout problem (well, they’re in Texas). The lights went out, and Julia Hart was on stage pointing to Khan Tran. Malakai Black cut a confusing promo, hinting that Ortiz and Kingston aren’t on the same page. This led to a rift between Kingston and Ortiz.
Rene Paquette interviewed Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia. There is disagreement between Garcia and Guevara too! Garcia does not like Guevara, but he is a professional and will work with Guevara because he is a professional. Guevara tried to resolve their disagreement with a hug.
TBS Champion Jade Cargill (along with the villains) beat Vertvixen in an elimination match (3:53 aired)
Inexplicably, this match went through a commercial break. After the break, Cargill won an ax kick and then a pump kick. Almost all of this match took place during a split screen break.
– Ruby Soho has recruited Willow Nightingale in her feud with Tay Melo and Anna Jay.AS and they will be fighting Dynamite Wednesdays.
Also new to Dynamite, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli will take over Top Flight.
– Wardlaw cut a teaser about Samoa Joe’s TNT Championship match on Wednesday.
– A commercial airing for “New Dynamite” which will debut on January 4th.
– Outside the arena, Powerhouse Hobbs attacked someone.
defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal (with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh) Billie Jean and Anthony Bowens (with Max Custer) (11:49)
Gunn was in this match because Caster wasn’t medically cleared after firing the guitar from last week.
Rap Caster was awesome. Dubbing Singh “the not-so-great Khalil”, he promised to bring them back to the area of influence and shut them down like a power grid.
Lethal and Bowens started the match. And soon, 50-year-old Jeff Jarrett and older Billie Jean were tagging one way or the other. Gunn nearly fell after a knife. Lethal tried to use the ax handle from above and Gun grabbed it with his right hand. Bowens and Jean’s elbow drop hit the team’s double. Bowens fell to the ground and Jarrett caught him with a clothesline.
During a screen break, Team Jarrett/Lethal took control of the match. Excalibur tried to get “Triple J” as Jarrett and Lethal’s team name. Bowens responded to the suplex attempt with a cradle for a near-fall, but Lethal came back with Lethal’s combination. Jarrett got the card and Bowens caught him with a superkick. Gunn and Lethal get the marks. Gunn cleaned the house upside down and put his clothes on outside the ring when he tried to interfere.
Lethal went for the lethal injection, but Gan countered it with a cobra claw knockdown. Dott jumped on the apron and Bowens took him out, but this allowed Jarrett to hit Bowens with the stroke. Custer got involved which led to a distraction for the ref. This gave Dutt an opportunity to run behind the referee’s back and hit Gunn with a low blow. Lethal hit lethal injection to get fixation.
Final thoughts:
This episode of Rampage was like coal in my pantry.
