What is the story of the movie Cirkus all about
Jamnadas Anaath Aashram in Ooty is run by two orphans Roy and Joy, who are brought up in the same orphanage. It is a safe haven for all those children who have no one to call. Roy (Murali Sharma) has a target in his heart. He wants to change the way the world sees orphans and make them see and believe that more than just family, dynasty, caste or religion, upbringing is most important. He’s struck gold when two sets of identical twins are picked on by two sets of loving but childless parents. Dr. Roy replaces a twin of group A with another of group B, thus creating a set of brothers Roy and Joy (Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma), who will be raised by parents who run a successful circus in Ooty and another set of Roy and Joy. Joy (Ranveer and Varun), who is to be raised by industrial parents in Bangalore. After many years, the Bangalore twins land in Ooty causing multiple cases of mistaken identity which leads to chaos and confusion until the twins finally collide.

what’s hot
Rohit Shetty is known for creating an immersive experience fit for the big screen and takes us back to his picturesque and colorful world with Cirkus. While it’s a comedy of errors, luckily both Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma refrain from being cartoonish. The comedy revolves around them, bolstered by the impeccable comic timing of actors like Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Jadhav, Johnny Lever, and more. The puns and play on words will give you a few laughs here and there and a special mention to the use of past songs which lend themselves perfectly to situational comedy, adding to the whole experience. Ranveer Singh doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary in this film for a change, but sticks to his personality without going overboard in desperation to prove just how good an actor he is. The acting is perfect and the side characters, as always, steal the show. Cirkus has a subtle message that’s both very relevant and kudos to Shetty for touching back on something so sensitive without being preachy and without any publicity.
why not
If you were expecting the same amount of laughter as Rohit Shetty’s previous films in his world of comedy, you’ll be disappointed. While there are moments that will piss you off, most jokes are eventful or have a “seeing,” “heard that” feeling attached to them. The first half is slow but the movie picks up after an interval. Side characters have always featured in Shetty’s films. It is recognized that in the universe there will be uniformity when it comes to characters and their nuances. While that’s fine, it’s about time, and there are some new additions with new quirks to his “extremely exposed” collection to add some fresh entertainment. The songs could have been better, nothing stands out other than Current Laga, also thanks to Deepika Padukone, who lights up the screens with her performance. Ranveer and Deepika look like they are having fun and make you want to see more of them in a full movie.
BL rule
Circus is directed by Rohit Shetty, the man behind some of Bollywood’s most popular and beloved adult artists. It stars Ranveer Singh, who is one of the best actors we have in India right now and the movie is just right for the festive season. ‘Tis the season to be jolly! So, if you are looking forward to enjoying a movie with the family, along with some harmless entertainment this holiday season, Cirkus is for you. Tip: Definitely take children and older people in the family with you.
