Robin Roberts confronted TJ Holmes and Amy Robach over rumors of an affair

Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts warned fellows TJ Holmes and Amy Robach about rumors of an affair that were swirling around the network years before the couple was revealed, multiple sources report to Page Six EXCLUSIVELY.

Page Six reported this week that the married presenters left their partners after an alleged relationship that lasted for months, but we’re told the pair battled insider speculation for years — dating back to 2017.

Roberts “pulled them aside and basically said, ‘Stop it,'” a person familiar with the matter said.

Another source confirmed that Roberts asked them about it because she was also hearing the rumours. The source tells us that Holmes denied it at the time.

A third source confirmed that Holmes was so concerned about the rumours, that he took the case to higher-ups.

He was a reporter at the time, and he didn’t want Robin to think that. He went to [ABC brass] And she went ahead to dismiss it because it wasn’t true,” they said.

A fourth insider told us that Holmes went straight to former “GMA” executive producer Michael Korn, because “it wasn’t true at all, and it freaked them out. Amy and TJ’s friendship hurt when the rumors started.”

According to a source, Robach and Holmes were seen “walking around” bars near ABC News back in May. She reportedly left her husband, Andrew Shaw, in August.

Page Six also reported that Holmes and his wife, Marilee Febig, had been separated for four months — but were trying to “work things out” and that she was “shocked” and “devastated” by the affair.

On his part, Robach’s husband deleted photos of her on his social media after the news broke.

A source tells us that Robach, Shue, Holmes, and Fiebig were all close and would go on double dates.

Despite the backlash, the “GM3” co-hosts didn’t appear remorseful when they showed up to work as a couple this week.

“They are not shy. They are two getting along adults, who ended up loving each other,” one source told Page Six.
