CNET Editors’ Choice Awards for Products and Services Released in 2022

For more than two decades, CNET editors have scrubbed, prodded, tested, retested, broken down, willfully let down, and stayed up all night playing with new products and services that promise to change the way we live and work.

In 2022, our panel of experts has found 81 products and services in seven categories that we believe are worthy of celebration—and, most importantly, worthy of being honored with a CNET Editors’ Choice award. From the smartphones, laptops, and tablets we use every day to stay connected and know what’s going on around us, to the routers, monitors, and other hardware nuts that make our digital ecosystems work, we continue to rely on technology for success. Another note: In terms of innovation, 2022 was a modest year overall, with a focus on cutting-edge products to make them better rather than blowing up new categories. Still, we were pleased to find four products that we thought exceeded expectations and were deserving of another CNET Editors’ Award—our Innovation Award, which recognizes technology that brings new and noteworthy ideas to market.
